Bikes: 1 trek, serotta, rih, de Reus, Pogliaghi and finally a Zieleman! and got a DeRosa

Why do I do this?

Why do I bid on stuff I have no use for? Like the Rolf Sestriere wheels (that have
stress fractures on the rims) thinking I can use the hubs for something. really?
20 and 24 spokes? I don't own any Shimano nor any clinchers...

It can be exciting find something in the maze of the bay at a good price, it feels like you are getting away with something.

I do the same thing. Soemthing looks neat. I get it, and it sits around my shop, generally in the way, until I sell or trade it for half of what I paid.

Like the insulated cooler that attaches to your handlebars that I found at a garage sale for $4. Great price.......if I ever use it.

been very tempting to me.

I do the same. I'm guessing we aren't the only ones.

I've been watching ebay.fr for all the Soubitez fender mounted taillights but have been largely avoiding the temptation. I'm also getting addicted to ebay.de for all the 24t cogs and the readily available SRAM/Sachs hub parts. I'm up to 5 Sachs/SRAM hubs now with 3 waiting to be built into wheels. Then the stinking ebay.co.uk isn't helping any either as that's where I picked up a Her-cu-matic shifter for my newest baby.

Bikes: one of each

I find that interesting pair of wheels and then have to build a bike to suit them.

Same reason I troll the used bike shops and co-ops here on a weekly basis. There's just something there, I know it, that I can't live without...er.....um....I go looking for stuff for other folks here....yeah, that's it. Totally altruistic on my part, yeah.
