Not in the house
For example, I am not allowed to wrench in the family room. Go figure. The velvet Elvis is hanging in the garage (he has the single tear, classy).
But I do have some good wall space in my office at work.
Where do you put your good stuff?

Yeah, that looks like some pretty interesting 'live-edge' framing.

Since selling on ebay is a majoy source of income, bikes do end up in the house. In the last month is has got a little out of hand.

I like your style DD! I have a bike room as well. I told her she can do anything she wants to the rest of the house so long as I can have a bike area, I feel like it's a fair compromise especially since I generally make money off the hobby!

I'm in trouble and currently clearing out the kitchen of my bike parts. It's attached to the garage, so my crap has spilled over into the closest open space. Lol. Anyway, it has to go ASAP she says. Haha.

Fair is fair, ain't it? She got the kitchen while she was still here - in fact insisted it was "her area" to set up as she pleased. I told her that was fine by me. Not that the favor was returned

I get the closed in front porch. I'd have the entire basement, to but it's damp. I'd post pics but it's a mess out there. I Only enough time to work, not enough to clean up.

Man, I got 40 years into this sport/hobby/addiction. You guys make me look like a rookie.
My latest philosophy is PURGE. I try not to collect too much stuff. Better to pass it on for good will or profit than sit in my house on a shelf or in a box. But I still have bike parts in the kitchen, den, basement, shed, back yard, in my car.........

I've got the garage, Getting my tool box into the basement is just not going to happen since it would have to get moved twice a year and I work on cars a fair bit and need the tools in the garage for that.
A 2nd set of tools and an indoor heated/air conditioned shop would be a dream come true, that or heat and A/C in the garage.

Seven of us shared a 3,500 sq. ft. warehouse space in DT St. Paul.
Cars, motorcycles, bicycles, wine making equipment.
A big boy clubhouse.
What a mess!
We got the heave-ho last year when the owner determined we were too close to the new LTR terminal.
Condos, don't you know.
The fall out was quite serious, as I had to sell the BMW 2002.
No room.
The bike situation is also serious.
This house has assorted bike parts everywhere.
My family has decided we are eligible for "Bike Hoarders Anonymous."
I'll add pics tonight!

I like threads like this. Makes me see just how much more bike stuff I can fit in the amount of space I have.

The northeast side of my studio is where my "keepers" hang and where I spin on the trainer when it gets too cold to ride. The east wall merges into my wrenching area, and storage of components is organized along the east side of the studio. Right smack in the middle is where my drawing table and art storage units are located. (Perhaps it is now more appropriate to say that my art stuff is located in my bike shop?) Oh, and I nearly forgot to mention that my touring ride is in the guest bedroom and a couple of flippers are standing in the garage.

I'm in a small apartment so Ive got no where to wrench but here. I've got a pretty good system which keeps me sane though, one rule being that I don't own anymore than 2 bicycles which I am happy with to be honest. I think the +1 rule will always apply but I have standards now! All the parts are kept under the bed in storage containers along with boxes of spokes. All the tools are spread out in small tool boxes. Anytime someone drops by they'll go "You can tell a cyclist lives here!" still though. Can't really hide the wheel sets, they just hang on the ceiling, out of my way but still seen!

No one cares
all of my bike crap is out of the house inside of a stand alone, old, beat up one car garage. I like it that way. The wife stays out of there. But since we're about to move the gig will be up, very soon. It's a given that any new garage at a new place we move to will be mine...
