I soak them in PB Blaster for a week or so, blast them with compressed air, flush with WD-40 until it runs out clear, blast it again, and lube with Tri-Flow. I DON'T use grease because {A** I have access to a fully-equipped bike shop and {2** since I do, I service them whenever they start sounding scratchy. Doing it the way I do, I only spend about ten minutes total working time on each with the rehabbing, and maybe another 5 minutes or so, two or three times a year, to crack it off and get some more lube in there. NEVER had a problem.
