My favorite one of all time was the doofus that cut a frame so he could sell the crankset without removing it. Unfortunately, he was not too handy with the saw, so he also put some big cuts into the crank itself.

I saw a bottom bracket version of that a few days ago at ebay. I think it could be the same guy. It was from a white frame too, so must be the same bike.....
