Lennon lived in the Dakota Arms, in the precinct where I worked when I was with NYPD. I used to see him now and then, but never on a bike, and never with Yoko.

I had ab Atala back in the 70s when I lived in NYC. The bike shop owner wanted to get rid of it so bad he let me have it for 50 bucks if I bought another bike for my ex. She dumped it when we got divorced , before I could go back and get it when I moved out...

Terrence Hill (of 'My Name is Nobody'/ spaghetti western fame) as the bike-riding, murder-solving Catholic priest, Don Mateo:



It's a charming series, kind of an Italian 'Murder She Wrote.' The fact that Il Padre rides a bike is a running gag; it always takes the cops longer to get anywhere by car through the scenic, narrow, & winding streets of medieval Gubbio.
