Looks like the old Panatomic-X under studio lighting~ a slow, fine grain medium contrast film.
Looks like there's a good snooted key-light at the back of Miss Dee's head. ETA: Very likely medium format- most likely Rolleiflex 6 x 6, slight possibility of very early 'Blad. -D.S. |

Sounds like you might have been in the business? ;)
Film has the edge yet for classical rendering as shown in the portrait above. I still think highly of some aspects of B&W imagery, and have favorite film yet. -D.S. |

Just a little:rolleyes:. That kind of high quality imagery is still sought after, be it film, or digital.

On my way up I experienced a medical disaster so crashed and burned. A lot of things I no longer do. |

I played just a wee bit myself. Shot a couple weddings as well as talent for an agency using a Bronica SQA with backup Canon EOS system. Had some studio lighting equipment as well.

A lot of things I no longer do. I invested in a used Sq-A around 80' or so, with the normal and portrait length lenses. The only extravagance I got it for it was a factory new speed-grip. That system paid for it's self after about the 8th wedding I did with it. Never went with the prism finder, mostly as a matter of finances. The WLF and it's beauty of a magnifier were enough for me and my far-sighted eyes. TBH, wasn't making enough to earn a proper living. Selling that Sq-A was one my bigger heart breaks. Landed with both feet on the ground in property management where my organizational skills led to an interesting career. Never did get wealthy, but ended up with an almost comfortable retirement. Just as an aside, Kodak and Ilford now have C-41 based monochrome film out that is actually quite decent. I did keep most of the nikon stuff- the important stuff that matters. The old F2 is a potent combination with modern film. -D.S. |
