Staying in the theme:

Composer Edward Elgar (famous for "Pomp and Circumstance" in the UK, and for his Cello concerto in the rest of the world) loved his Royal Sunbeam, which he called "Mr. Phoebus".

Yeah, I suspected AI. I guess it's legit, though.

The website in the watermark is an AI image generator, so at least they're being pretty up-front about it.

That or just tape residue from a knee taped for weightlifting.

Just so much to see in this photo. '67 or '68 Mustang hard top. Super Beetle in front of it. I think a Maverick coupe a couple cars ahead of that. Bell bottom jeans. Gold's Gym from before it was franchised I think. Both bikes are lugged steel but I cannot make out the brands.

Arnold is in great shape, but not quite the musculature of his peak bodybuilding years, so I am guessing this may be a year or two after that, perhaps 1975 or 76, he did a film that came out in '76 and he supposedly lightened up some for that film. Arnold and Franco were both in the film, Franco uncredited, "Stay Hungry".

Either a great amateur photo, or one staged for a magazine photo op. Probably shot on Kodachrome slide film, good color durability from whenever this shot was digitized.

Terrible AI. Terrible news.

In my martial arts obsessed middle school years, I proudly wore Chuck Norris "Action Jeans" which had a gusset in the crotch to allow more range of motion.

Mustang is a '68, side marker lights tell the story. My sister had a yellow one. I'm surprised you didn't mention the pedestrian couple strolling in the traffic lane (aside from the bells), a definite pisser even in mellow SoCal.

Arnold on a Schwinn, maybe a Superior, and the other looks like a Nishiki crown headbadge.

Yeah you're right, it's not like they are headed to or from a parked car from across the street. But then, the bikers are also riding abreast instead of single file. It's like the street is a boardwalk.

Not a Superior- they were fillet-brazed through ‘78 or ‘79.

As far as I know, no Schwinn came with that combination of head badge and lugged frame. Maybe someone’s personal customization?

Maybe the bikes are rentals from the bike rental across the street, designed to be durable under frequent use and by heavier riders. Generally, that might point to a lugged frame, though Schwinn fillet brazing or electroforging, I'd heard was strong, though heavy. Or, clientele desired lighter bikes. All speculation.

Arnold's still alive. Let's ask him.
