He says his dad used to do bike tours of Britain. And a young Robert later got into track cycling.

Didn't know he was into cycling, but yeah, he and his team Zep did quite well as musicians. ;)

I never did get to watch RP in person, but have always been a fan.

Back in about 1985 I bought my first CD player. This was one of my first cd purchases.

You can kind of tell that's a smaller frame, maybe a 53. I saw him one night at a Gourds show in Houston's Continental Club. I was surprised he wasn't like a towering 6'1. He told me, "my friends call me Willie."

My brush with greatness...

I'm starting to see how a lot of these performers stay in shape. ;)

I once fell off my bike in my living room. Long story, long ago. My sister couldn't stop laughing.

Yeah, but I was 22 years old at the time I fell.

Yeah, I tried to find it streaming on Roku(for free). No luck though. If I can find it used at the bookstore, I'll get it.

It's a GREAT move, and your post reminded me of it so I found the DVD on Amazon for less than $10.

I was watching Tyrone Power ride a bike in The Razor's Edge. (A favorite novel.) While looking for an online photo, I remembered Bill Murray starred in the remake. I haven't seen that version yet. I want to. Is this what Larry Darrell looks like when he's old(er)?

Take a moment to scope out the bike Voodoo (Laurence Fishburne) is riding. This is in 1986 (movie release date--filming could have been much earlier), mind you. Looks like 26" wheels with drop bars and aero levers, roller cam brakes and a road double. Be neat to find out more about it. Google says many Raleighs of the period were used and the head tube of Voodoo's bike sure looks like it but it would have been wildly modified to appear as it does.
