While were on the topic of Romics

I picked this guy up from the original owner today. He was working at a shop in Houston in 1980 and had a friend who was working at Romic at the time build the frame for him. It is the "X-100 Custom touring model"

I didnt plan on it since I was just picking it some parts, but I just couldn't leave it there. I have no idea what to do with it now since its on the large side for me.

Funny, I have a frame with the same scrapes on the bottom of the BB shell. What could they be from?

IF the frame was around a 56cm we'd be working out some kind of deal ( ;o)
Romic had some of the nicest american lugwork out there.
I dropped out of cycling during the mid 80s .
My first search when I got back in was for a new Romic..sadly, they'd disappeared from the scene
From the photos the bike appears to be in outrageously nice shape.
NICE Find!

Pretty. Thankfully too big for me. Still pretty, though.

OK, my size. Quote us a price!

Ray's frames are typically nicely done.

saw that one for sale, pretty good price, tempting but too big

here is another one, alot further away, though even better price and not just a bare frame, but probably not as good condition, in case anyone is seriously looking.
