bought this miyata what is it? a 1000 or 610

If memory serves me correct its a 1000. The fork has pannier eyelets and the chain stay has a anti-slap gaurd.

^ Yes to Jim's points. Also, yours should have a set of bottle cage bosses under the down tube(close to the bottom bracket). Looks like maybe an 1984 or 85 model?

610s have those too.

My 610 has the double front eyelets for panniers.

Wouldn't a 1000 have extra braze ons for bottle carriers? That one looks to have just the one.

EDIT : Bet to it

My guess is on the 610.

Not all 1000s had the third set of bottle braze ons.

I can't see the photos...but the third set of braze ons are not a defining thing. Can you tell by the parts on it? Typically 1000s had a higher end component gruppo.
