Bikes: Motobecane Gran Record, Motobecane touring, Cannondale CAAD4 r800, Fuji Finest

Raleigh identification. help please

The seller says that this bike is a "Charles" can anyone identify this for me? and is $170 a fair price?

It's a fairly low end Raleigh, never heard of a Raleigh "Charles".

I could probably get $180.00 or so for that in my market in 100% ready to ride condition, not sure about yours.

That one is not 100% ready to ride either.

Bikes: Mostly English - predominantly Raleighs

Those were RaleighUSA. See if he can give you the first 4 or 5 of the serial number. With that we can tell where and when it was made.

Mid 80's Taiwan Raleigh USA lower end. Stem shifters, turkey wings removed. Most likely a "Record" model

Bikes: Schwinn: Twinn Sport, Super Sport and Suburban. Raleigh Grand Prix, Competition, and Super Course, plus New Clubman.

We see a lot of Montreal built ones from that era with the "Raleigh" on the seat stays. I don't know if any of them made it out to Denver. Is there a "made in" decal down by the bottom bracket?
