Whoa, that threw me for a second. I always think Othon Sr. when I think of the Ochsners. Othon Sr. was well up there in age and still coming to the thursday night track events at Northbrook velodrome when I was racing. He and AL Stiller, Babe VandeVelde, Frank VanHaute would get the reserved seating at the finish line on big track nights. Othon was always shown a lot of respect, though I hadn't a clue who he was till someone explained to me who he was. And the fact he was Swiss pursuit champion in 1919, holy cow.
He is VERY respected among everybody in the industry. He was just a little funny when asked where the Chrome frame came from.. He seemed very flippant about it. AHHHH I dont know! LOL
Did you know the Krons?

It was rather tongue in cheek that I say he is getting older...I believe he is in his early 80s or so now.

Oh yeah. Raced with Eddy. We were same age. And Theo, Willy, oh and Robert who was a bit younger. Were there more? Theo was always really nice to me. Took me aside and explained some of the finer points to racing, especially if I really screwed up on the track! Those kinds of guys aren't around anymore. I was very lucky to have experienced that.
