Here's my modest haul; copious fresh crap has been added to the mix and will send to crandress this afternoon or tomorrow (fresh cardboard is desperately needed, and I will have to stop by the P.O.)

Edit: shipped today, P.O. receipt says you should get this tomorrow (Friday 18 Oct) candress

Here is what I took. Added more than I took. Going to drop the box off at the Post Net today. Not sure if it's too late for the USPS pickup or not, so may not physically go out until Monday to toytech. Please re-queue me.

Glad to see those freewheels I tossed in are so popular.
(I'm not responsible for the one that doesn't spin BTW, that one was already in the box when I got it.)

BTW, how are the double-thick corner reinforcements I put in the box holding up?

Box gets kicked down the street by all the postmen so replacing it is needed every time.

Funny I was just using the "artistic" former BoC to hold some bike parts while I organized.. yeah it's in really bad shape.

Box just came in! Not too bad shape-wise, either! I think I'll be able to reuse it, but we'll see after I look through everything and add some more crap!

Without further ado, I give you the Box O' Crap:

I'll post up with what I took once I get a chance to do some excavating and see what all's in this box.

I've worked in the courier business, and in a post office, trust me, nobody has time to abuse your box, but they don't have time to be delicate with it either. It's all about moving a large number of items, in a short period of time. It's not uncommon for a route with 1,000 addresses on it, to move 3,000 pieces of mail per day, now multiply that by a dozen routes in a small post office and your looking at 36,000 pieces of mail, that needs to be sorted by route and then by address.

Cardboard boxes are designed to be single use. A good idea to extend the life of the box, tape ALL edges and corners, those get the most abuse.

Well, here's the stuff I took:

A pair of Shimano branded stem shifters, a 600 RD, a pair of seized up SPD pedals with good bearings, and one of the 3 'puters to use on my beater bike. As most others, I've got more stuff to add than I took, both value and quantity wise. However, this box is all kinds of full. I'm going to play some Tetris and try and get everything to fit as I don't want to throw anything out. When I've finally go this puzzle put together, the box will be going home to RaleighSport.

On a related note, I know you're not supposed to give up what's in the box, but I want to share my favorite piece:

I feel like there's some sort of hidden meaning/inside joke behind this that I'm not privy to

Nice haul, I departed the pedals too. I had to empty and refill a couple times to get everything to fit!

Hey guys sorry it's taken so long, car blew a headgasket and, with the cold times coming, I've been scrambling to replace it. Just got the box packed up. This things is full to the brim, I had to leave out an old kickstand to make everything fit (if anyone wants it, I'll mail it to em ). Should be on its way to raleighsport tomorrow.

Well folks, we have a problem. There's too much crap in the box! I got turned down at the post office because it had a little bit too much bulge to qualify for flat rate shipping. It was full to the brim when I got it, and the crap I put in pushed it over the edge since it was larger than what I took. Got a brand new box to try and see if it'll be a little better, but what to do if I can't make it work?

I think that's BS, the Flat Rate Box goes by weight not by the bulge size, I would try a different post office. The box has always been a little fat when it's been reused.
