Bianchi Super Leggera with the wrong paint

I have what appears to be a 1983 Super Leggera with a mix of Nuovo and C-Record parts in the drivetrain. Torelli headset, unknown stem, Suntour Superbe (1985) brakes. The front wheel was just a placeholder for the photo, the front wheel I normally have mounted has a flat. I paid $50 for the frame and fork around 1998. I had braze ons for fenders added to the rear dropouts and fork. Before you choke on your pasta over the paint job I didn't paint it!! I bought it this way. I'm swapping out the Nuovo derailleur for a C-Record that matches the front derailleur.

An interesting error on this bike is the rightside seat stay cap is upside down!

Interting detail on the stay cap, perhaps someone had too much wine with lunch? Perhaps you should be taking the C-Rec off and putting SR on this. if it is a Super Leggera it would have come with SR (with a NR BB very interesting perhaps that was because of the Ti axle thing?) and TTT ar and stem.

Where are the fender brazeons?

Eye spy an eyelet inside of the dropout window. Looking at that frame Paul makes me want a rocket pop. lol. I love the wine plugs with cages.

Henry III - the plugs are from Belgian beer bottles carefully sculpted to fit. If you want some I can send you a pair!
The eyelets are hidden in the window of the rear dropout and on the fork they are just above the dropout. Hard to see since they are very small. The fork was drilled for the eyelet. I had this done by Terry Shaw of Shaw's Lightweight Cycles in Santa Clara (no longer in business after a 35+ year run). I have most of a NR gruppo but that would involve raiding parts from my wife's road bike. My personal collection is C-Record and some Nuovo right now. At one point in time I took ALL of the NR stuff off of my wife's bike because she kept crashing. Once she was comfy with the bike I put it back on. :-)

After looking at Bianchi's for most of the day I think I will tear this one down and get it repainted...someday.

I didn't take much notice to the bar/beer plugs i was busy looking at the dropouts.

It is kind of funny you put eyelets on that bike because at some point, I think '86, Bianchi started using a Gipiemme dropout with an eyelet instead of the big open triangle.
