Cinelli almarc leather handlebars

I just love the Cinelli Almarc wrap bars,
I tried my hand at leather wrap a year ago-here is the result,

Now i have to do better and I want to do the most authentic job possible.

does anybody have a set they can examine for us?
distance between stitch holes.

I have a theory the leather is really "?" shaped so it would be a perfect fit rather then stretching it around the curves.

anybody can shed some light on the subject?

it's been tooong since I (helped a friend) install this style of leather wrap, but IIRC the Almarc stuff was wetted in water and you stitched it on (classic baseball stitch) so it shruck to this "skin-tight" look.

FWIW baseball stitch takes two needles.

I have a couple of bars wrapped in Cinelli VIP. I'm not about to measure the stitching unless someone wants to buy a set.
