Bikes: 72 Cilo Pacer, 72 Gitane GT, 72 Peugeot PX10, 73 Speedwell Ti,l, 75 Peugeot PR-10L, 80 Colnago Super, 81 Zinn, 85 ALAN Cross, 85 De Rosa Pro, 86 Look 753, 86 Look KG86, 89 Parkpre Team, 90 Parkpre Team MTB, 90 Merlin

I'd rather pay $1400 for a crankset than $2400 for a jersey and corkscrew (same seller)--not that there's a chance I will do either.

What, you don't want to hold out for the triple-bend crank arm?

I would like to see the five angle version where the rings bolt directly to the arm at each bend.

I saw this listing and can't figure out what is the reasoning behind this contraption. What are they trying to accomplish with these? Are they designed to flex in some direction? How would they increase efficiency?

The same seller lists this commemorative jersey and corkscrew for $2400.

I suppose I could always use a jersey, but what would I do with the corkscrew? Wine comes in boxes now.

I think its just one of those ideas that periodically pops up as an "improvement", like chainrings that aren't round.

They'd get in the way of your parallel bar. (Assuming those are still used in your office. Right now mine is preventing redlines from sliding off my drawing board)

Right, what's the point? The point at which the pedal mounwill and where your foot will be) will be equally distant from the spindle at all times during normal rotation of the cranks, right? So what's the point?

Flex? Why would anyone want their cranks to flex under load?

I figured it was just for looks! Shows what I know. I do think the arc- shaped type cranks are very pretty.

Bikes: to many to list
