Got this from my Dad, he picked up at a yard sale about 27 years ago. It has no badges on it. I think its a Roadmaster but not sure. any help would be great.

Thats what I was thinking, but all the Jet Pilots I've seen say Jet on the tank, and the chainguard, sproket, and rear rack don't match.

Then I guess it is just a Pilot then... ;D
AMF used a variety of chain guards, and the sprocket is the normal pattern for AMF. Some of the older bikes use the one with stars in it, but those are actually fairly uncommon.

I rarely suggest repainting a bike, but this one could use it.
I had a 64 nova once, beautiful dark blue mettalic, when i got it it was covered with a surface rust, I started working on it and the original laquer got crowsfeet and the rust bleeded through and created a surface layer,
I wetsanded off the rust with 400 I think and it started to look great, after enough days of working on it I waxed it over and it made a world of difference, about a half a year later I ground the whole car down and had it repainted.
a little wetsanding might actually do the same-nothing to loose!
