Hmmm. Looks like there's some sour grapes hanging around here.
- But many thanks to strock for identifying the "BSO-POS" brand. Anyone here know what that stands for?

LOL, a few years ago I sold a all original Raleigh Record and the buyer just couldn't believe how light it was and was so happy he had found a bike that wouldn't kill him to carry up four flights of stairs, I didn't say a word.

Boy - that guy must have been a REAL newbie! Even I know enough to look for the heavier well-built bikes. No light and flimsy bikes for me. No sir.

The only way we're going to be able to identify it is by the color. What color is it?

Dear Newbie. Steer clear of this forum or you'll soon find yourself enrolling in an N+1 twelve step program.
Too late?

I picked this blue bike up this morning for $20. Not a lot of metal for my money though.

I went on a ride with a new group this AM. I had the oldest bike, by a couple of decades. Had to describe myself as a bicycle hoarder. No sane person would consider my stash of parts and bikes to be "normal". So newbs, be careful, very careful....

How many bikes is too many?
It can't be quantified, but there are a number of ways you find out when the limit has been reached:

* The petition for divorce appears on the breakfast table.

* The garage key is forever missing and never to be found.

* You arrive home one evening just in time to see the Salvation Army truck pulling away from your house — and the garage door is open.

* All your bicycles are stacked in a neat piles of 7 deep around the sofa; there's a note that conveys the message that you will more enjoy sleeping here with them than upstairs with me!

* Your former nightmares are replaced by a succession of horrifying images of scored, bindled, irreplaceable bearing races and cones.

... to mention a few

Ohhhh so close - the red ones are worthless. Too bad he didn't give you a dark blue one, those are the REALLY valuable ones!

I am one of those who started here trying to learn a bit and quickly have the N+1 fever. When I first posted here I had 2 bikes, I now have 5 (and counting....)
