Miyata Nine Twelve

I am tryng to get some information on this Miyata 912. If I could find out the year and if someone knows of a spec page that would be great. The owner thinks it may be a 1986
Thanks

Miyata had great QC and made very nice frames. The 912 was one of their better ones. That bike appears to have been upgraded with brifters etc. If you're trying to determine value you should post a query on the "what's it worth" SF.

I am trying to find out what year it is. You may well be right, it could be a 1988 with upgrade brifters.

1988 frame looks pretty close, other than the fork.

I used to sell Miyata bicycles along side with Schwinn, Trek, Nishiki and Cannondale. Out of all the brands i was familiar with the Miyata had the stiffest frames. You can hammer on the pedals and you wouldnt get as much flex. They were a tad heavier than the other steel frames but they were best for me. I was a big guy and I was a masher on the pedals. Excellent find. You find one in a 59 cm let me know.
