Bikes: Schwinn Paramount P15, Fisher Montare, Proteus, Rivendell Quickbeam

If you are wondering just build one. I like them, but my town is too hilly for a single gear for me. My knees start hurting after about a week of riding a one geared bike. I've settled on a 3 speed fixed and a 2 speed SS for my simple bikes.

my diamondback apex's build was heavily inspired by all the FGSS bikes in San Jose... (single chainring and brakeless rear seat stays most obvious) not exactly a hipster bike though

Silly me! I thought a 2 speed SS was slow up the hill and fast going down

I love this bike, have since you built it (granted I may not have such a high opinion if I rode it) don't tempt me ...
