Compatible replacement grip shift set?
I think my black '90's hybrid Schwinn Crosscut is considered vintage.
I'm the original owner, have given it only cursory maintenance, and it still rides like a dream.
Anyway, it finally needs a set of shifters & grips, 3/7. It is a Shimano Exage 400 LX set, and currently has the vintage smooth and un-numbered shifters. I really don't want any of those new-fangled models with digits in windows to tell you what gear you're in.
Any recommendations?
The SRAM MRX is a decent-looking offering, but maybe there are alternatives you know about and I don't.
THANKS!
