Early 80's Merckx on CL

I tried to put this up on the CL/e-bay are you looking for
thread, but the damn thing is so long I couldn't get it to
respond. Anyway, it's 5 minutes from me, about an inch
too small for me (), and too nice a bike to end up stripped
and parted on e-bay. Somebody buy it, please.

Very RARE Vintage 80's 57cm Eddy Merckx Bicycle!!

This seldom found bicycle is fully intact and ready to ride...just needs two new tires. ALL moving parts are ORIGINAL...MERCKX team frame (57cm seat tube), CAMPAGNOLO forks, brakes, peddles, and shifting (14 speed...2T), and Saturn wheels. The seat is an Avocet Gelflex that is VERY comfortable. If interested, please call me at xxxxxxxxxxx as I seldom check my emails. I will not accept unreasonable offers...this item is too rare and valuable.

Thank you https://sacramento.craigslist.org/bik/3094297937.html
Components are in good shape, a few scabs and scrapes to the paint, nothing major.
Decent clincher rims, so you don't have to swap out tubulars..............Just an inch.

I looked at it longingly today, wondering at the cruelty
of the great god Craig (all hallowed be his name).

Still, he did give me that Serrota last week..............

Isn't it too tall for you? (I'm trying to make you feel better.)

Wow.

Thank goodness it isn't in the Twin Cities.

Very early 80's indeed.

I wouldn't mind seeing the fork crowns and a couple of other areas of interest.

Maybe an early De Rosa influenced Merckx?

At any rate, a silver Professional is a top ten to own item for me some day.

Wonder if they would like to trade for a very nice red Corsa?

Pantographed flat fork crown, it's the real deal. It was his brother's,
apparently ridden on tour in Europe, then little ridden since.

He wants to trade it for money..........

I think maybe it is too tall now that I realized I can't have it.

I used to ride 59-60, now I'd be lucky to get a leg over kiwigem's tricycle.
