I am in need of suggestions/affirmations for my upcoming All City Space Horse build. Here's what I have in mind:
Frame (will be built up with silver components)

Levers (planning on grey housing and kinda dig the Newbaum's wrap)

Saddle (considering the Brooks Colt)

Particularly the 'raspberry' shade!

Thoughts?

If you go raspberry, try to go with matching raspberry Brooks leather bar wrap.
I am trying it on a bike now and so far, so good.
Some people have reported it gets slick after it gets wet, but I haven't had any issues yet.

I also like the look and feel of the Brooks Swallows in the Select series.
If they fit you, it could be a good choice as well.

Good luck with the build. I have seen some very low pricing on the Campy Veloce, Centaur, and Athena gruppos lately.
Might be just the ticket if you don't already have your heart set on the TRPs.

I think there's going to be a lot, and I mean a lot going on with that bike if you use the palette you claim you are. Make sure your wrap and saddle are the same tone and hue. That will cut back some. I have the most reservations about the 'grey' housing. There is very little in the way of grey in any of your other plans for the bike. If the intent is somehow to match the aluminum/silver components, why not go with the stainless braid or clear covered coil housings? Then you're at least getting a metal look to match what you have. You won't be trying to match a color to a metal.
I run into this a lot putting aluminum storefront windows in buildings. The sealants that should match them try in every way to be the same color, but in the end, you just can't match color to the properties of the clear anodized metal.

The reds pictured will probably be fine provided they are the same for both saddle and bar tape. Too much gap will start to make the bike pretty busy.
