Sad to say I've still not located the perfect British stable-mate, Mike. Someday!

Okay, here's a hint: this bike has an actual headbadge.

Does that help?

Not a Frejus or Legnano.

Iver Johnson truss frame in pristine condition with wood rims.

A little newer than that - it's from the decade during which I was born and not my parents :)

Oh, I wouldn't say I was hoarding it, but I think I'll be in the negative after a find like this...not that I'm complaining, you understand!

Maybe I was reading a little too much into the use of a Monty Python catchphrase as the thread title, eh? :)

Pre-takeover Cinelli? Maybe pre-1974, with the nice brass/silver-plate headbadge? Now that I've exhausted my (non-) leads, I'm just taking shots in the dark...

A chopped-up Masi is someone's Grail Bike?

I guess it takes all kinds to make C&V go 'round ;)

Aw, come on Justin - pix will be up tonight, I promise. And I promise nobody's going to be disappointed, either :)

I'm just trying to have a little preliminary fun before the main event.

And at least one pic will be eye-level with the proper crank orientation, too :)

I'm going Paramount, maybe chrome.

We need a little more to make guesses.

Hmmm - getting warmer. It's got a very, very thin connection to the Paramount, actually :)

Not this one - it's a one-owner bike and he's never been to PA :)

In one hour I head off to go pick her up :)

BTW, I hardly slept last night - that's the effect she's had on me!

Nope; when I say "very, very thin connection" I mean it's almost not a connection at all - but there is tiny one.

Not a 'Traut, either :)

Gotta go in 30 minutes - so I'll give a clue: it's Italian. Now, I'll be looking for maker and model. Bonus virtual-six-pack for the year :)
