Mike recommended I post again here, I have this old junior of unknown make I found, I have no use for it so if anyone would like a junior project or any parts here let me know, I got it pretty cheap and am always ready to trade! It seems that much of it was powdercoated for some odd reason, some polish and touch up would probably bring it right back.

What size wheels and what's the frame size? (always helpful)

With that long top tube looks like an MTB frame (?)

Great thread.

On an 18" or 20" frame, what is/are the ideal length of crank arms?

Is there a decent primer or introductory source of information about the range of specs of these bikes?

Besides brake levers, bars, 3,4-speed freewheels, and the hunt for wheel sets in general, what other key details does one need to learn?

Some of the bikes shown here are truly marvelous! Thanks for all the photos.

My interest?

I have a girl in the market for an 18" and two boys ready 20+", but not yet 24".

the small ones are the most difficult to find-i can find them in italy-but if you are serious about it the postage is considerable

Oh man! You've just reminded me about the little Falcon that has eluded me for this whole thread! But wait, there's more! Now there is a 54cm Falcon San Remo in the mix! As of last Friday!
No pictures yet! No bikes yet! Trying to do this with as little cash as possible! Wish me luck!

That first one was the guy from Messina. Turns out he wanted something like 400 euro. Nuts.

Bringing this back up as the 8 y.o. wants to start doing criteriums. Any leads? Need a light frame, good components, and 24" wheels. Something like her big sis's Viner junior.

I want one please! any new leads? or members with ones they are trying to part with...my daughter has just started riding a 12inch kids bike and is about to turn 4 years old. so something on the smaller side of small. Even if I do have to wait a couple years till she can ride it, it'd be nice to get started with it sooner.

Smallest I've seen is 450A (18") wheels. Would fit a 5-7 y.o. Gitane and Peugeot had made them, but calling them "uncommon" doesn't begin to describe it. Check the subito.it site for Italian equivalents( bici corsa bambino) - they'e out there, just not many of them.
500A (20") bikes are somewhat more common. Search for "Gitane Midget Racer" and good luck.

FWIW, I've got a Nishiki mixte with 24" wheels. It's incomplete but all the important stuff is there and it's shiny. If there's any interest I'll take some photos and measurements. I don't need any money for it but you gotta pay shipping.
Best to PM me cause I don't watch this thread very closely.

Mini velos are also tiny. But they're meant for adult riders.
