Bikes: Many

I got my PX uploaded but there seems to be a random Grandis crank in my set also. It's not my Grandis either...

Do you see that?

Bikes: too many or not enough

Velospace has a few technical problems. One is that images are kept in a global name space. So if you upload an image that has the same name as an image someone else has already uploaded you will get their image on your page. The fix is to name all your images something unique. I prepend my user name to all the images I upload to Velospace. So instead of using the name the camera gave the image, say DSC00234.jpg, I would rename it to BlueDevil_72Mercian_right_side.jpg.

The image size restrictions are a pain also.

My Velospace account is BlueDevil and I have some of my bikes there.

Sometimes, you can sneak in a big pic, which is odd.

I've also had the "global pic drawer" put a different picture on my page than my bike. This led, of course, to putting up a page and tossing in generic image file names, just to see what showed up.

I like scrolling through the new uploads for C&V. Plus, there are some serious bad-ass bikes on velospace, from hard core roadies to fixed gears. C&V bikes are some of the tamer offerings.

Velospace is an excellent place to document your bikes in case one of them gets stolen. All the build data is right there.

After seeing this thread I decided to sign up.

The forum there seem's very quiet, and trying to download my pictures into jpg's seem's to be a ridiculous and darn near impossible task!( at least for me) I'll try one more time when I am willing to waste another 2 hours of my life in the effort. I mean seriously, in the age of photobucket, why do we have to use something as antiquated as jpg's?
