vintage carbon in the wild

Hope these pics come up.

This is a friends bike that his father in law gave him. It gets some pretty heavy abuse on the roads here, and the previous owner rode the snot out of it. look at that water bottle cage!

This is to make up for my prior "epic" thread!

Bikes: 1986 Alan Record Carbonio, 1985 Vitus Plus Carbone 7, 1984 Peugeot PSV, 1972 Line Seeker, 1986(est.) Medici Aerodynamic (Project), 1985(est.) Peugeot PY10FC

I wonder what the heck happened to that Girardi Regal saddle......
Might be positive testimonial to people that still have doubts that a good CF C&V bike can take a lot of rough handling and long use....

figured that chombi would snatch the bait this time to.

My friends father in law was the one who cut up the saddle, I guess he rode it for years, and as I got older did some "Mods".
His wife told me that her dad had ridden that bike from NW Arkansas to Wichita KS in one day several years ago...
Never seen the father in law, but he probably is a lighter wieght than I am. I'm fat enough that I get twitchy on Aluminium.

The bike has been doing what it was intended for. I find that great.
