Handle bars end plug

As I spend time looking for all the items I need for my first build up, Serotta Colorado ll, I haveanother question for you guys.
I am pretty sure I will use a Nitto Noodle for the handle bar and possibly a Nitto stem. But what would make for a nice bar end plug?

Nitto and VO both sell alloy bar end plugs. I mostly use Velox.

Bikes: Two wheeled ones

I'm a Visigoth, I typically use the plastic ones that come out of the box with my tape. I did use some nice, pretty leather ones in my Vanilla and I actually think it comes off a little affected.

I often use the ones that come with tape. Otherwise I use Velox, or occasionally chrome ones.

I like the shiny chrome ones that used to come stock on Schwinn Varsities. Most all my bikes have those.

For my taste, it depends on the tape. For modern eg. Fizik tape I'd just use the plugs that come with. Caveat: some Cinelli tape I've bought has come with cheap looking pseudo-chrome plugs; those I won't use. For cloth tape I would use Velox plugs.

Or you could avoid these wrenching decisions altogether by using bar end shifters.

Probably not what the OP intends when asking about "a nice bar end plug", but they do seem to work...

Oh yes, I can see how that might seem over the top on a Vanilla...

Ouch!

Ok, I'm absurd! It's not THAT ostentatious...it's not a hetchins or colnago.

There are bar ends with LED blinkies. In case you'll be in traffic a lot.

corks like these need to be cut down, but work quite well;

The wrapped twine/wine cork approach is definitely, aesthetically, my favorite on the right bike. I don't have the patience to do it, but it looks amazing.

On topic, I am looking high and low for these for my Super Prestige.

Any ideas?

Just missed a set on ebay.

My LHS (local hardware store) has a bin of tapered corks in various sizes. One of those sizes fits perfectly in the end of bars. They're something like 40 cents each.
