I made a big mistake...
I purchased a new ti (not just new to me) bike, and am afraid my older steel bikes are not going to get the love they need. When I hop onto my c&V bikes it feels like i am being unfaithful to the new ride, and truthfully am afraid they do not ride as nicely. Any recommendations for getting over this feeling, or should i just downsize the redundancy?

Ehhhh!.........that new bike feel is gonna eventually wear off and you will then miss your steel bikes after that.....

cool topic - your tastes are changing and thats cool - ride what you like - you may end up going back and forth - me - i love to have a little variety but i have steered more towards the older aluminum lately - who knows what i'll be into a year from now but thats the beauty of it

I am also contemplating becoming unfaithful to my two steel bikes - and I know just what you're talking about. How could I even think of not riding my 30-year-old made-for-me frame? Rides like a dream, no shimmies, feels springy yet stable and just...right. For what?
Well, a new Ti would fit modern components, lots more gears, and would not have the doofus mechanics sayin' "hell, ya can't even get parts for that thing". I'm not an aggressive-compulsive collector so I don't have bins full of vintage bits to feed to my old steel. That's why I'm thinking about new and lighter...
But then, it took me two years to justify to myself spending $300 on my Atala Record in 1972.
Maybe I just feel bad about spending money on myself.
Oh - ps: Pictures or it didn't happen. Let's see it!

I thought you all might frown on modern pictures... also you'll have to pardon GG, he snuck in the background.

Woah, NOW you're talking! Lynskey's on my short (dream) list. I hope we can have a ride report really soon. As Frank said, you don't have to worry about rust...
