I think my bike is "hot" in a ghetto-stealth, third-world sort of way.
Hot except for the seat, arse porch or what have you ( too big to be classified as a saddle)
You haven't seen my arse, nor do you want to.

Believe it, the saddle is the same length & width of a B17. I don't have the funds for pretentious chairs.

I like old frames with ergo's or STI's, but I think it would look better if you used some standard aluminum rims to go with the polished components. Still, hot. What is that stem though? whoa

That is a modern frame (they still make it) with a nod to classic style. https://www.tommasini.com/eng/steel-frame-tecno.php

Yup.
They are amazing frames - I had one in the early 2000's, made with Columbus EL OS tubing - incredible ride.

I completely agree. I have NOS polished campy hubs and silver rims siting around for this bike. Once I get my colnago and Grady's tommasini build I will look at lacing them up.

the stem was a gray anodized deda murex that I polished to match the seatpost.

This one is a 1996 ELOS. My dad bought it new, built it with 8spd record, and then upgraded to record 10. I backdated it with alloy components (original shifters and crankset)

Not to drift OT, but other than mavic open pro's, what can one find in aluminum (color) rims these days?

What do those guys in the road forum know anyway? If the TT isn't slanted, and if there isn't 3 ft. of seat post showing, and the wheels look like they belong on a mtb instead of a road bike, and it isn't painted loud like a NASCAR, then to those suckers on the road forum, it isn't hot.

But to a C&V fan that knows what a proper bike should look like - it's is smokin hot!

The red and white Schwinn - hot!

DT Swiss makes a few. The 465 is a nice option. Velocity also makes a number of nice silver rims.

Thanks!
Velocity has the Dyad. Looks nice to me!

....and yes, the 465 looks great. Haven't ridden them yet though.

+1 for Velocity, I find their Aerohead rims are great for older builds laced to freehubs

This would be hot in a bed, on the beach, in a movie theater, in a club...anywhere.

Sun CR18 rims look very old-school and perform very well. Nice price, too.
