Nice! Looks a little more "Kashimax" to me, somewhere between a Turbo and a Concor.

...with a bit of Brooks thrown in at the back end!

How well does microfiber hold up on a saddle?

Good looking saddle. $45. Practical.

Given VO's usual aesthetics, I'm surprised they didn't put bag loops on it.

I'm glad they didn't put fake rivets on it.

That does look much better than the website pics, and it looks good on your bike.

I'm going to guess that 154 mm (152 for the Nashbar one) is a bit wider than a Turbo, but I don't have one here to check that claim. I don't really like the look of the microfiber, but if it holds up OK, I suppose it's practical.

Anyone have any long term experience with one of these saddles yet? I am looking for a moderate cost solution for bikes left in remote (to me) locations that will be subject to heat and humidity, like a Florida garage or alternatively, an Adirondack garage.

I don't, but since the thread title has 'turbo' in it, I'll mention that you can get a repop Turbo now for about the same price (also with microfiber cover).

I've used the VO microfiber saddle on my commuter for about a year now, and it has held up fine but does have some cosmetic damage. I find it is totally comfortable for riding around town, but I have not used it on any rides longer than about 30 minutes. A bit of the microfiber toward the nose rubbed off very quickly, but in the ensuing months there has been no change. The VO label on the back is plastic and looks a bit cheap, but you could easily remove that if you don't like it.

Thanks for bumping this thread, because I didn't notice it the first time and had been unaware of this saddle. It looks decent, and the price is decent, too.

There is a real comfort difference between the vinyl and leather covered Turbo reissues. I have one of both and I can't stand the vinyl one. It is harder and a little more slippery. Doesn't look as nice either.

Vinyl can give you sit bone hot spots in extended rides. Just the way that impermeable materials tend to feel against our anatomies.
If the material used is the imitation leather material called "Lorica", it will be a bit better, as Lorica aloows for some breathing like leather does. bonus is, the material stands up very well to water/moisture.....

Anytime Tom. I will probably try the VO and a 1980 Turbo repop in leather too. The white leather would look grat on the medium blue 1985 Prelude.
