I also like it, and respect that it is art, but how to turn the front wheel?
I see the arm and ball joint but I cant figure it.
See the gold rod on the right side above the axle?

Bikes: Trek Millennia, Trek 400, Raleigh Superbe, Giant OCR3, Bianchi Milano

There are some very nice Vespas which have been done in a kind of steampunkish theme. I guess..

I'd rather just ride my Raleigh Superbe once the snow here in central MN actually melts.

It doesn't look like a comfortable (or efficient) ride, but I really dig that Rick Griffen 'Flying Eyeball' headlamp. On the whole though, it's a beautiful object.

Fairly top-heavy, but not too bad.

It's the creation of Engineer named "Wild Bill" Gelbke, known as the "Road Dog". I think right after WWII.
It's well know in the motorcycling circles mainly because of it's over the top looks that is so ugly, that it's beautiful....
Here's some more info on the bike and the man....

From: My response would have been something along the lines of: "Does your bike have computer controlled suspension? Then shut your piehole, this baby is from the future!"

Bikes: to many to list

Everyones entitled to an opinon and thats the truth, what I'm wondering is when does it cross over to just being a sour person that can't respect what other people want to do with their spare time and in some cases their lives? I'm pretty sure we all have run into people who think cycling is pretty ****ing stupid and just plain senseless right? I'll answer for you, sure we do, we all ***** about them right here on this very bikeforum. Personally I think Steampunk as a hobby or even as a lifestyle is pretty ****ing cool, these people work hard to build these things, and I like 'em. I like 'em just fine.

Pretty steampunkish bike, from what I can see here. Naturally occurring, no hipster involvement .
