Battaglin

A couple of persons asked for more pictures of the Battaglin I posted earlier this week, here they are. After looking closer at it, looks a lot like a ciocc. Frame has SLX tubing.

Here is a pic of my 1988 Battaglin for comparison. Some similarities.

Bikes: Many

I found this one, 1985 in a state distress about six months ago. It featured an eclectic mix of parts from Super record shifting, phil Wood bottom bracket and Gipiemme crono special triple cranks. Pastorbob did the freewheel, the frame is getting a respray and I already got the right bottom bracket, stem and seat post to complete the resto. I am looking forward to seeing it completed.

There's speculation that those Italian flag braze-ons indicated it came from one of the big Italian workshops. Bilato maybe? My Concorde has one.

Yes, Billato Bros built both the Battaglin and Ciocc.

I have a Ciocc from the early '90s that was almost certainly from Billato Bros, but does not have the little flag braze-on (which many people call the Concorde flag). It does have similar internal cable treatment and Cinelli "spoiler" BB shell, no chrome on the rear triangle, but similar to that red Ciocc's rear cluster. Mine has SL tubing.
Billato made SO many frames, so many brands...

Bikes: Too many to list here check my signature.

Any chance there is a 10spd Drive logo on the underside of the brake bridge? I know they were importing some of them around '89-92ish.

I believe you almost compare any of the semi mass produced bike from the later '80s like your Battaglin, Pinarello, Tomasso, Giordonna, Basso..... and find similarities between the SL or SLX or TSX frames.

No markings under brake bridge.
