Sorry. Yes 1984 Trek 610. Added STI cables stops, put the eyelets back on and added bosses to the seat stays for a rack. Someone added water bottle bosses which I had the gap filled with silver. Given all the changes I call it my PaTrek

IMO I think you should have just put the Brooks on it and left the paint, crank and gears alone. Not sure you saved it as musch as just changed it. But I like my bikes with original paint even if it's ratty.

The parts came from a 1972 Motobecane Le Champion. I was in an accident in 2009 and stripped the parts off the frame. I have been wondering what to do with them so decided to see if I could fit them to the Trek.
The Brakes on the Trek were corrodded with pits in the surface, both the calipers and levers. The Universal 61's are double pivot and shine like jewelry! BTW: The hoods are original from 1972. I was able to remove the hoods without damaging them!
The Shimano 600 RD was damaged, both with road rash and bent jockey cage, barely functioning. The FD and Shifters were ok.
The 600 crank was pulled off the spindle with a wheel or pulley puller. The back sides malled from repeated use of the tools claws. Corrosion is an issue too.
The BB for the Stronglight is swiss and wouldn't fit the english threading so I repacked the Shimano BB and mounted the Stronglight.
Weighed it yesterday as pictured - < 23lb.
The Stronglight HS is good and was cleaned and lubed. Both the BB and the HS had red paint chips in the grease!
The Seat post was not original and is a 27.0 Wondered why the clamp didn't hold it in place! Found a silver post on CL for $10 on Friday.
The step is a Cinelli 1A I had in my stash. The HB is from the Moto and is a 3ttt. Amazing that I was able to clamp it with the 1A.
The wheels in the pic are Mavic GP4 with HF Campy Record hubs. The tubulars can be used but are likely to be thrown out and replaced with YJ's tires. I don't have clincher wheel set in 27 other than the ones the bike came with which have questionable bearings and surfaces.
The Brooks Pro was a CL find for <$100. I am using the one off the Moto on my 83 Colnago.
This is my first bike with BarCons, Suntours. I have ridden it around the block and I think I like them.
Found the pedals on CL for $10 and couldn't pass them up for the name. Heavier than the Looks I have on the 'Nago.
My guess is that the Moto had less than 3K miles on it. I bought it in 1973 when it was a year old. Rode it occasionally and then it hung in multiple garages over 30 years as I moved. So all the parts are still fairly fresh in the used department.
I am waiting for shifter cables and housings to finish the FD hook up (Tuesday delivery). The rear brake housing needs to be shortened and I will replace the tires on the rims.
I weighed it yesterday as pictured - < 23 lb.
