No story, she’s just stupid.
Well, stupid enough to lay around the house all day doing nothing while we work and slave away to pay for the house she sleeps in, buy the food she eats, and generally pamper her beyond any reasonable measure.
Maybe she’s not so stupid after all....

You've heard of Underdog. This is Overcat. Overcat is very disapproving of your shenanigans.

but what does it mean to be dethached. I'm guessing getting out the mats? I had to go thru lengthy (months) or grooming to get 3 my cats done at home. every day I'd do a tiny bit more, brushing, coming & snipping. they only let me do a little bit at a time. now it's a matter of keeping up with them ... they are cranky during but happy after

Chester Worthington III
He works for Chester Worthington industries, not to be confused with Chester Worthington Incorporated.
He is a very stoic cat and enjoys working out on his specialized mountain bike or his Colnago road bike. He also likes beautiful women and fine
tequila.

My little fluffball of a kitten (Latte) has been growing. However, she has gotten into several cat fights lately. So far not a scratch on her, but it had me a bit worried. So, she was on a strict curfew at first. Relaxing a bit now that I've identified Nemesis.
Latte:
Nemesis, coming in to invade our territory. I'm not positive M/F, but he is BIG.
I haven't decided what to do about Nemesis. I'm not sure if he is living here or not. Presumably Latte and Nemesis will have to figure out how to make peace. I suppose I should start trying to tame him, just a little bit. At least so I can take him in for a vet checkup. He'll be happy with me.

here's a somewhat older pic of eight (of the 14 at the time) of our little fur factories on the couch at one time....
The two on the far right have since passed on, and one other, so we're 'down' to only 11 at the present... But no more. We did our 'neighborhood rescue'. That, plus we're getting older so we need to make sure we don't leave a bunch of 'problems' for an executor...

Nice cat family! I'm sure that mitigates any rodent problems!

Latte does travel reasonably well. A few complaints, but for the most part she does OK. I need to get her back out on the bike. But, she is also mighty attached to me.
I haven't seen Nemesis for a few days. I think he does have a home somewhere, and has been visiting. No cat fights recently either.
P.S.

I fixed "taking" to "taken."

I knew our cats slept most of the day but now that I’m home all the time I’m amazed that an animal can actually not move for so many hours at a time

They have so much fun composing their limbs!
Just imagine if our limbs were as flexible...
