Selling Campy parts
I've been thinking about pulling the parts group off my 82 Merckx and going with a modern group. Then selling the original group but thought I'd lost or parted-out the old exposed cable brake levers but digging through and old parts box I found the levers all wrapped-up. The question is they have the off white Modolo style ergonomic hoods, would that make a difference? Also is their a source for more original style hood?
Second question, if you were to not include the headset would that make a big difference?
Lastly, is there someone on the forum or out there somewhere who sells things like this for a reasonable fee or who might buy the group?
Thanks,

I might. PM sent.
Best practice might be to take some good pics of the components and put them over on the Classic & Vintage for sale marketplace. It costs 12 bucks to join, but is well worth it and the $ supports this fine forum.

As for the hoods, there is a pretty good source for reproduction hoods, but they are not cheap and won't increase the value by more than they cost you. The Modolo ergonimic shape hoods are pretty nice. I'd leave them.

don't worry about finding someone to sell them for you, offer's will come flying in headset or no headset.
I usually leave headset's and bb's in the frames and don't include them in the group of parts.

you will make more buy selling the individual pieces and not selling it as a whole. Of course, that is more time and effort so you have to consider how valuable your time is to you and whether it is worth the effort. If you just want some reasonable money but don't need to maximize profit since your time is more valuable then sell it has a whole and keep the headset if you want.

Thanks for the feedback. Yes, time is an issue along with I've never sold on Ebay so that is some of my limitations.
