Customizing Bikes Online?

Ok, I will try to explain this the best I can. Have you ever wanted to restore a bike, but didn't know how certain tires, housing, brake hoods, or bar tape would look on it?

I know republicbike has this sort of capability and you can also customize a Trek Madone on the Trek website as well, but is there something else out there?

Am I the only one that has this question?

Thanks

I've thought about this before. I have neither the time nor skill to do it but it would be nice

there is no tool for this sort of thing, as vintage bikes aren't standardized the way Republic or Trek bikes are. The process of deciding these things is similar to matching the correct color tie to the right shirt and blazer, or matching your belt to your shoes.
