Thank you.

Jack Taylor. It is a thing of beauty. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ALNsQpCL8LY (Documentary-- 25 mins)

My bikes are pretty pedestrian, too. N+1 = only having sub $350 bikes...

I'm tall and have two tandems, but they're both technically too small for me.

25" Moto Grand Jubile - the absolute largest bike I can ride, but once I switch out the stem for something shorter, it should be really comfortable (I'm 6'0")

yes, Jack Taylor. We think it's the largest tandem the Taylors ever made.
Unfortunately it doesn't get ridden a much since I bought my wife a Betty Foy.

I just put a 60mm stem on my 62cm Paramount and it made a big difference. I'm 6' also, and am maxed out on this frame, unless I start wearing platform shoes.

Since I had to move my pics around here's my 68cm Super Grand Prix again,

It's since gotten a set of Mavic wheels with 700x28 Panaracers and an Avocet crankset, not updated pics yet. By spring it should also be sporting a taller, longer reach Nitto Technomic stem. I figure since I can't find anything nice that fits me I'll just make this one as nice as I can.

^That is a pretty good closer for this thread, but I want to see more bikes! So here's one -- a bit too small for me but I still love it:

^ I had the same problem with this one and had to pass it along. Yours looks to be in better shape. With the big tires it rode like a '72 Cadillac Coupe DeVille.

^I have that exact same bike, 1985 I believe, maybe even the same size. I love mine. Its been all over the place and seen a bunch of different configurations. Does yours have lowrider rack mounts?

EDIT: I think yours might be one year older than mine, given the different forks and slightly different decals.

Finding chains for that must be a real challenge.

My recently completed upright day tripper 25" Passage. I am 6' and this size frame works very well, just as long I remember to favor one side or the other of the top tube. As for the stem, you wanted tall, right?

The Competition GS I sold because it was too small, as much as I wanted it to fit I just couldn't get comfortable on it. Such a pretty bike!

Yeah! And I've found that putting the drops on it and allowing a slightly aggressive riding position takes that cush and puts a really fun spin on it. It's a blast to ride, on- and off-road.

I'm sure the ridiculously short top tube didn't help either. IIRC, the 65cm frames had a 57 cm tt. Only about 4cm too short...

Resurrecting an old but interesting thread.

I've been meaning to show my tall collection. Not as tall as many in this thread, but at least they all still fit as I get shorter. Front to back: 1979 Miyata 912 - purchased new and upgraded several times, 1987 Marinoni Sports Tourer - new to me and fantastic to ride, 2003 Rivendell Rambuillet - my everyday bike until the Marinoni arrived. All built up with my eclectic mix of Sachs New Success shifters/RD, Shimano 8-spd cassette hubs, Ritchey Logic triple cranks, and comfy 28-32mm tires.

And I can use more typical stems:

Interesting trio. Apart from frames and saddles they seem to be identical. You running a research project or something?

My '79 Raleigh SBDU Team Pro. According to the Yahoo Team Pro group SN database, it may be the tallest one they made: 65cm seat tube (as stamped on the BB). It's a 531 bike - I don't beleive they made 753 tube sets this big back then. A very nice ride.

Oh! Like the dark blue. Very classy!

BTW, what's going on with the rear brake cable? Aren't those TT cable guides supposed to be stops?
