Not sure...but for the love of all things holy, if you just bought it...please fix whatever blasphemy has been done to it.

You sure that's ti? I don't think the ti bikes ever had rack eyelets on them. Ti frames would have had a ti project two fork as well, and I don't think they ever painted those...

I think it might be this- https://www.konabikeworld.com/08_smoke29.htm Not nearly as sexy, but still a solid frameset.

Dan, I think I also spot smoke '29 written on the TT, good detective work

+1 on Kona Smoke.
It is not even close to titan, but a cheap decent steel frame.

That's a Kona Smoke 2-9

I had one. It was fun, and I built it up into about 3 different configurations. It's heavy though.

Incorrect. Very few Project 2 Ti forks were made, they were very expensive and very flexy.

Somewhat incorrect. Any ti kona frame would have had a suspension fork, but had it had (!) a rigid fork, it would have been a ti project two.

The default offering for the Ti bikes was a suspension or steel fork. Anything else was built to order and it wasn't required that a Ti fork be used. The Ti fork was an $800 option on pretty much any model. Also the Ti Konas were sold as frames only in some countries rather than complete bikes.

You guys know your Kona bikes! The Hei Hei is a 26 inch wheeled ti frame. The ti Project 2 fork was rarely ordered as suspension forks were the norm. In fact, I never saw one, not even at the shows! My good friend Mike still has his, I built it up for him with a Girvin carbon fork. Best darned hard tail I ever rode. Wish I had kept my Girvin fork...loved it.
