80's Univega Nuevo Sport & 1987 Schwinn Tempo
I recently picked up these 2 beauties and have a couple of questions...pictures will be sure to come
The Univega is fitted with with a Shimano Light Action rear derailer, 27" Araya rims and Shimano brakes/levers/DT Index shifters and front derailer. I am uncertain of whether these are factory, but it seems to be a fairly decent frame and the components are pretty nice as well. My question on this bike is: Where can I find replacement brake hoods for the stock Shimano levers? Also, what kind of saddle would be similar to the factory one would have been and where can I obtain such an item? I would like to keep this bike as close to original as possibe.
Whomever I bought the Tempo from I am guessing obtainied it either for free or for dirt cheap, because I paid $175 and its as mint as I have seem and also has new bar tape, cheapo tires and cables/housing. I have a great love for the color scheme and handling capabilities of this machine but it is barely too small for me...dangit!
I wil lbe sure to post some photos later tonight!
Thanks,
Sean

You might try Loose screws in Oregon, but they are in the process of closing up. Niagara Bicycle Supply of Niagara , NY is a good possibility. Your LBS may be able to help obtain them through Quality Bicycles of Minnesota. If all else fails, there is always EBay.
