Finally, an Italian...
For decades I've lusted after a Cinelli Supercorsa. Today I pulled the trigger on an eBay frameset that was local. I plan to put a Campy Comp Triple 10-s group on it.

Very nice! Congrats on finding your beauty!
I've always wanted an Italian as well, as far back as JHS! I've surprised myself that I never indulged myself, even when I had the means. I think I'm going to have to change that.

I've had a few Italians, so far... they have left me kind of flat. But I haven't had that many. I think the ultimate is a 531 Masi.

Stan!
Papa Cooper must be spinning!
This is worse than my daughter buying an Apple Mac, even though my wife has worked for IBM 30+ years.
Scooper on an Italian Stallion is like Richard Petty driving a Fiat in a NASCAR race.
Certainly there will be a 9.0+ earthquake in the Bay area in the next few weeks.

P.S. Beautiful frame, by the way! I'm certain your build will make it a very sweet ride!

Looks great to me! Yes, that is one tall frame -- when you get a chance, please post the geometry (TT and seat tube lengths, C-C).

LOVELY - worthy of a stable as fine as yours Scooper. I've been really enjoying my Cinelli of late.
What parts group are you planning to use Scooper? First gen ergo would be a little out of date (and might require slight respacing), but would look awfully good on this.

Absolutely beautiful frameset! Congrats!
What is it I don't know about this Scooper fella?

Thanks, all. I'm really looking forward to building this up.
Bob, I nearly put another mouthful of coffee all over my keyboard. Dad would probably be miffed at first, but I'm sure he'd quickly get over it.
He was a loyal General Motors customer all his life, but eventually forgave me for buying my first imported car, a 1970 Porsche 914.
Will do, John. I'll post the angles and fork rake as well as frame and fork weights, too.
Your Cinelli was one of the motivators for the purchase, Aaron. I plan to use the Campy Comp Triple 10-s group (Ergo shifters) on it. The seller says the spacing is already 128, so I think it should work OK without any cold setting.
Heh heh.. Cody, Pastor Bob knows my dad was the Schwinn regional factory sales manager for the southeast U.S. for thirty years. He didn't think much of imports, although he grudging finally admitted that when Schwinn started importing from Japan, Taiwan, and China it pretty much gave the company a big boost to the bottom line for a while.

You said that in the first paragraph - I'm an idiot. Sheesh.
Great group choice! I have ergo triple 8 on our tandem and am VERY impressed with it.
By the way...I might have something in a week or two that you'll be interested in

Super-Butted means most of the tubes have five helical reinforcement ridges internally on the butted sections to make the butts a little stiffer. The top tube was the only main frame tube without the super-butting.
Thanks, Robbie. That spill in Austin was just as much my fault as it was yours; I should have let you know I was there.
