What colnago frame is this?

What colnago frame is this?

Hi guys,

I always thought this was a super piu, however someone recently said it maybe a conic, i have emailed the serial to colnago but have had no reply.

does anyone have any ideas?

please ignore the saddle i was having issues with it that day

I'll give you a pass on the saddle, but how do you explain the front quick release position?

I agree. I think we might need to see the tubing decal on the seat tube. It may say Conic or Total Spiral indicating that it's a Colnago conic SLX model. It may indicate something else though. It does look like a Conic SLX similar to the one shown in the bulgier site, 1988 Colnago Catalogue on page 6.

Bikes: Pinarello Veneto, Pinarello Montello, Bianchi Celeste

That seat position has got to wreak havoc on the the boys..

you must be able sing opera very well after a ride.

Ha yeah, the saddle ended up like that after hitting a pot hole needless to say I stood up all the way home

Yeah I have seen this pic and it does look very similar the sticker on the tube doesn't say the make it just a says acciaio crmo cyclex doppio spessore

Sounds like it might be Columbus Cyclex "THRON" tubing.

If your frame is made of Thron tubing I think Thron was a mid 90's tube set made from the older Cyclex tube material. It is double butted and probably aimed at the amateur racer looking for a competitive frame.

I think your Colnago's identity probably lies in the mid range of models from the mid 90's era.

Yeah thanks for the reply, from my own research I dated it around the early to mid 90's. I guess it is a guess until colnago finally come back to me if they ever do.
