I got this fork with a frame I bought-it wasn't the original fork, so it was relegated to the parts bin. It's aluminum, and damn light. Is it a death fork? I'm not sure...

To paraphrase Lloyd Bentsen, I have a Death Fork, and your fork sir, is no Death Fork.

No one would call a Death Fork light, either.

Here is one.

Aluminum fork original equipment on British Lamberts and Viscounts I think. The bikes were recalled at one point for a fork replacement.

Yes, they were the solid cast aluminum fork on Lambert and Viscount bikes from the 70s. I rode one for sever years with no trouble and I am not a light weight even then.

It might be a "death fork" but it's certainly not a Lambert/Viscount fork.

looks a lot like a Vitus 979 Dural (all aluminum) fork, but might be another model or from another manufacturer that closely copied the Vitus/Bador design.

So, not a "death fork" but maybe a "serious illness" fork.

That's a Vitus 979 aluminum fork...
Thousands of them made throught the 80's and still working perfectly out there........So everyone move on,......"there's nothing to see here"........

My friend has a fork like that on an early carbon giant. I'm not sure if his is made by Vitus or not.
