Trek headbadge ('80s)?
Anyone know where I could pick one of these up? I have an '86 Trek 500 Tri series frame that my brother gave to me as a (franken)bike. He bought it as frame only and it had been repainted in a nice dark metallic blue Imron (nice paint job). It is sans decals/headbadge and I was thinking about rectifying that. I don't want a decal headbadge. Did some searches but didn't come up with anything other than watch ebay. Or find a trashed donor frame.
Thanks,
Chris

funny, I also have 86 trek tri that I picked up sans headbadge. There was no evidence of damage to the frame so I am thinking it fell off (maybe a bad batch of glue)? I watched ebay for awhile looking for another, not very common and good examples get bid up. I finally just slapped the 10 dollar velocal on there and must say it looks good.

So, Lloyd, any tips for keeping a Trek head badge fixed to the head tube?
Mine sure as hell won't stay on. I've tried carpet tape, mastic, silicone, nothing sems to work.

The 86 badge is a little smaller.
