Not too far from where he was.
The build up pointed to a bigger redirect.

The Neutraface & scripts are much nicer than the previous decals. The pattern is a nice twist on the banded seat tube and the orange is classy. I think it looks miles better than 2012.

Man, TREK, Specialized and the other NASCAR logo bike companies should take a cue from this. Now that is a clasically designed bike!

+1 - it's a beautiful scheme for someone else, but after making essentially the same frame for 30 years...I wanted a radical departure. This is more evolution than revolution...and I was ready for something NEW. I'm disappointed.

That's a well executed design, but not enough ATMO, ATMO. Typography like this greets you from all directions in the gift section of any major department store. Design like this can be used to sell anything, from stationary to teapots.
This design will age much worse than the old one, I think.

House does design, market a wide array of stuff, some of what I would expect to see in the housewares department of a major department store.
I like the jersey, but wonder if there are not a few sponsors missing, unless some have dropped. If I was RGM I would not be pleased. Of course, only the front was shown so far.
At some point to remain competitive out on the race course, disc brakes will have to be addressed.

On the plus side...perhaps it will drive down the prices of used red/white Sachs frames as people hold out for the burnished orange.

Two years ago I purchased a well raced Sachs cyclocross frameset, only to sell it back to the original owner so he would have a frameset for last season.
This year, he is still using this frameset, but will retire it in November.
I get first refusal when he sells and I have the $$$ set aside from the transaction, so I'll likely give it a post season home.
I am facing an interesting choice when I repaint and this announcement opens the door a bit for further options.
An easy choice is red and white, but we'll have to see what happens.

I've seen some blue/yellow Sachs schemes that I really like...also red/white, but the colors inverted looks good.
