I saw this while looking around the internet, and I found these.

They are meant to adapt a 20" 406mm frame for use with 20" 451mm rims.
If you flip them around, they should adjust the cantilever posts low enough for 650b rims to be used on a 700c frame with cantilevers. It seems like it would be close enough. I've just seen guys lament the fact that their vintage bike as cantilever posts so they cant convert to 650b.

Cool beans; someone will have to take one for the team and report back how well this works. Volunteers?Originally Posted by lord_athlon

I don't have a use (I'm not a 650B or BMX guy), but do you have a link for those who would be willing to take one for the team?

Be aware that these adapters require removable studs- and very few C&V bikes have removable studs on their cantilever mounts...
I just cut off the old canti mounts and braze on new ones 17 mm lower.

Personally that is the best way to do it. But most here are working on the cheap. Brazing is beyond some of our, mine included, skill level. Plus it requires a new paint job. Still brazing on new mounts is the best way.Originally Posted by cycle_maven

Especially if cutting off mounts and brazing them lower, one could just cut the mount and affix this to the stub.Originally Posted by cs1
