Update on Holdsworth Mistral

I've finished the paint, lacquered over the decals and refitted the head badge. I'm leaving the paint to harden for a week or two before going over it with a polishing compound.

It's not perfect, but it is pretty good and I'm delighted. I'm loving the colour!

I fitted the fork to the frame and reinstalled the b/b and, just so I can handle it easier and hang it in the garage, fitted the old fixie wheels and bars.

I'm now going to build some nice wheels onto a pair of NOS Campag Record High Flange Record hubs, get the centrepulls polished and look for a Cinelli quill stem, nice seatpost and a Brooks.

Some updated photos, and one showing it ensconsed on the back wall of the garage.

Wow that bike is turning out great! Can't wait to see it's final stage. Curious though.. is that a unicycle I spy hanging upside down in the top of the garage pic?

I especially appreciate the contrasting head tube color and seat tube band on this bike.

Looks fantastic. I think yellow is an under-used color.

Makes me miss the one I had. Wonderful riding bike.

Brilliant colour choice, it looks great! I also love the bar tape/paint combinations on your other bikes. You have unusual taste, and I mean that as a compliment.

It is indeed! I can ride it a bit, but it's really a controlled fall.

I sympathize.. I have a home made ultimate wheel, and it is also just controlled(ish) falling.
