What is the context of the question?

What frame are you trying to get a fork for? What is your budget? What material do you want? Steel? Carbon? Do you want a crown or unicrown?

Whatever you decide to do, you'll need to know the fork specs to get the right match for the frame.

@avhed: there you go: Ugo, Yoshi, Dick and Bob.

More seriously: I would suggest you post a picture of the bike in question. I'm sure that will lead to some more practical suggestions.

Bikes: 1997 Rivendell Road Standard 650b conversion (tourer), 1988 Schwinn Project KOM-10 (gravel/tour), 2013 Foundry Auger disc (CX/gravel), 2016 Cannondale Fat CAAD 2 (MTB/winter), 2011 Cannondale Flash 29er Lefty (trail MTB)

The guys are giving you appropriately vague answers for your vague question.

I'll assume that you want a 1" threaded steel fork, because that's what most threaded forks are. Also because if you want 1" threaded carbon, you're SOL.

Soma sells nice, chrome Tange 1" threaded forks in a couple different styles. Any bike shop that has a QBP account (most) can order you Soma bits.

I know there no threading on a carbon steering tube.
Crown or unicrown would be fine. Carbon blades or I would just leave it.
Its to replace a Columbus SL fork, 47mm reach for brake, and 1.75 inch rake.

Off the shelf you want something stamped 'Tange' on his steerer tube. Also look for a 'Tange' decal on the legs. Typically you'll find Tange dropouts but Shimanos are just as good.

If your looking for carbon Easton is a safe buy but the threaded ones are getting very difficult to find.
