eBay Does Good?

Hey Everyone...I know we had a thread recently about stuff on eBay...but I just had an interesting case closure...

Basic story...sold a frame on eBay, buyer said it never arrived...I had delivery notification and adult signature. Buyer filed case on eBay...almost a month after the auction. I replied with all the delivery/tracking information. Buyer AGAIN does not reply for nearly a month. At that point he escalates it. I believed I would be protected...and I was...but...eBay ALSO gave the buyer his money back! Both the seller and the buyer got their money (now, I still wonder if the buyer was defrauding the whole system...but...not my problem)...

I know in the other thread someone said that there are times when maybe eBay should suffer the loss...well, in this case, they did!

They make so much money that they should shell out once in a while. All of the rules and systems they have in place actually get in the way sometimes. I had a situation where I sent something and the buyer recieved the item and complained about the delivery and I was out $60.00 They pulled it from my account. I responded to all the e-mails but buyer didn't respond to me. By and large I love Ebay but that stuck in my craw for a bit.
