Vintage Rixe -- need help with id
Hi Everyone,
I have an old Rixe bike -- I believe the model is Sonderklasse (?). It seems to be from the late 50ies, but I was wondering if anyone knows more about this bike? It is in good condition, I am using it almost daily but I am thinking about doing a complete restoration (still not sure if it is worth it...) and I would like to know as much as possible about this bike.
On the frame there is a sticker (not visible on the pictures) that says about "2 million bicycles" sold (?) in German -- and I have found a website with old Rixe brochures: Fahrräder. The one from 1960 says 3 million, so that's my reason to assume it is from the late 50ies/early 60ies. However, some of the parts don't agree with the brochures, not to mention it is impossible to decipher the text - the resolution is terrible.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!!
Thanks!
